Library Rules

1.Students may borrow one book at a time for a period of one week. If the book is not in high demand, it may be renewed for an additional week. Renewal requests must be made on or before the due date.
2.Books must be returned to the library promptly by the due date. A late fee of 1/- per day will be charged for overdue books.
3.Students should inspect books for damage before borrowing. They will be held responsible for any damage discovered upon return.
4.Writing on library materials is strictly prohibited.
5.The student is responsible for covering the replacement cost of any lost or damaged books or library materials. Food and beverages, including cold drinks and tea, are not permitted inside the library.
6.Mobile phones are strictly prohibited inside the library.
7.Maintain a quiet atmosphere to ensure a conducive reading environment.
8.Preserve library property for the benefit of future users.

Q1. How can I obtain a library card?
A: Please present your original fee receipt and one passport-sized photograph.
Q2. Can I borrow journals, magazines, or newspapers?
A: No, journals, magazines, and newspapers are not available for borrowing.
Q3. Can I borrow reference books like dictionaries, periodicals, bound volumes of Journals, etc.?
A: No, the above reference books cannot be borrowed.
Q4. How many books can I borrow at one time and for how long?
A: Students can borrow two books for a period of seven days.
Q5. How many times can I renew a book?
A: A book can be renewed a maximum of two times, provided it is not in demand by another library member.
Q6. Do I need to pay fines for the late return of books?
A: Yes, the fine is 1/- per day for late returns.
